Professional style practice rounds

Day 3 at Jekyll Island...

After a relaxing morning, Mac golfers hit the course today with a focus never before seen in my tenure as a coach. Angie was in charge of Jordan and Ellen and from the sounds of it, they accomplished a lot in preparation
for the real stuff tomorrow. I headed out with all 5 guys in one group and witnessed a professional-style practice round for all 18 holes. As expected, there is still some rust to work off their games, but the improvements we've seen from the first days of "real" golf (as opposed to indoor simulated golf) from Tue. afternoon to today is impressive. I am very proud of the effort everyone has put in with these long days of practice (27 holes yesterday and 18 today for the guys). The fatigue everyone is feeling tonight is understandable!

Tomorrow's tee times will allow me to be with the women in the morning and catch most of the men's round in the afternoon. I am looking forward to seeing how they all fare after a great few weeks of practices, both at home and here.

later~

Martha
